WEDDING
Do I still photograph weddings? Yes, but as referral only. That is why you have been directed to this page.
From 2002-2010 I was considered one of the Nashville areas top wedding photographers, bringing a modern style into the city. After many years I began being asked to teach and work with other wedding photographers around the world and help them with their style and business. My travels took me all over the country and many destinations out of the country. In 2011 my family decided to move back to my hometown of Kansas City where I started shooting weddings with my best friend Marco Simonelli https://simonellistudio.com. I was personally working more with commercial photography but still wanted to continue photographing weddings without the hassle of running the wedding business. We moved back to Nashville in 2013 where I began my university teaching career with more focus on Musician and Fine art photography. Graduating with my MFA in the summer of 2000 I am continuing to teach and shoot Fine Art.
Yes, I still photograph weddings. I had many wonderful clients over the years and I welcome their referrals. I do not want to be a full fledged wedding studio anymore as my children are at the ages now when I love spending weekends and time with them.
Here are some full albums as examples of my work. I have one main philosophy towards photographing weddings. It is your wedding. I will work to keep the traditions you hold dear to you. I also believe weddings are about uniting family. Family photos are important and should not be overlooked. I treat your wedding family photos as a family portrait session and not a line up at the alter. These are the images that will be passed on for a lifetime and should reflect love and joy.
